Handbook for doctors, nursing professionals and life sciences

1. Register

Register under “For doctors & nurses”. You provide your salutation, name, email address, password, region, profession and specialty.

Doctors and nursing professionals are asked whether they hold a valid MEBEKO or Swiss Red Cross recognition. Without that authorisation, placement in Switzerland is not possible — we say so in the form itself, so that you do not run into it later.

Finally you accept the terms of use and receive a confirmation email.

2. Profile and documents

Upload your CV and — depending on your profession — your proof of authorisation as a PDF in your profile. Only once both documents are available do we propose you for assignments.

Also enter the expiry date of your authorisation. If it expires, we remind you automatically by email; until it is renewed we pause your proposals.

3. Availability and urgency

“Available from/until” controls the periods for which we propose you. Instead of a date you can choose “On call” or “By arrangement” — except for locum assignments, where we need specific dates (at least 3 days).

Willingness by urgency is the highest level you are available for. Choosing “Emergency” means you receive requests at every level; “Planned” means only long-term requests.

4. Answering assignment proposals

When a vacancy fits, you immediately receive an email with the specialty, region, period and urgency — plus an accept and a decline link. You do not need to sign in for this.

For data protection reasons we name the clinic and its address only after you have accepted.

If you do not reply, we remind you once — after 24 hours for emergencies, 72 hours at short notice and 7 days for planned needs.

5. After you accept

Your acceptance goes to the clinic, which then confirms the assignment bindingly. After that our staff get in touch with the details and draw up the contract.

You can see the status of every proposal at any time in your area under “My assignment proposals”.

6. Further vacancies in your region

In addition to your own specialty, you see all open vacancies in your region — including other specialties. Perhaps you know someone one of them would help.

7. Who sees which data

Before you accept, the clinic only sees an anonymous profile: specialty, focus areas, region, availability and authorisation status.

The clinic can only open your full dossier (name, contact details, CV, authorisation) after confirming our terms-and-conditions notice. That access is logged.

8. Language, notes and account

At the top right you choose German, English, French or Italian. Your choice also applies to the automatic emails sent to you.

“My notes” is a private notepad that nobody else sees — not even MedPool.

You can delete your account yourself, permanently, at any time in the account settings.
